mamma mia movie wedding scene

the scenic landscape. the reception. lights glowing. greece. the 3 dads. meryl streep. the guests. bride's maids' little flowers on their hair. all the singing. the wedding dress..

just about all the things in this mamma mia movie is an absolute fave. most of all, the wedding scene, tops the charts anytime! <3

royal wedding anticipation

as most of you may have heard by now, the royal wedding is on soon. there are lots of things going and every bit of detail is news. while there are cynicism over this event, (not a huge fan of huge weddings i may say) i try not to be all negative about it. let's wish prince william and soon-to-be princess kate to a blissfull marriage. this is a momentous and joyful ocassion afterall.

to william and kate! cheers!

say ‘I do’ to a small wedding

why say ‘I do’ to a small wedding?

while it’s nice to have a huge wedding, but if you’re in a really tight budget, why force it? a wedding is the beginning of a marriage after all. hence, it’s practical and sensible to be better prepared for the marriage instead of otherwise. anyhow, the love around an intimate wedding is the same with having a big one, maybe even more.. <3

thoughts on marriage and family

"The family is a subversive organization. Only the family has continued throughout history, and still continues, to undermine the State. The family is the enduring permanent enemy of all hiearchies, churches and ideologies. Not only dictators, bishops and commissars but also humble parish priests and cafe intellectuals find themselves repeatedly coming up against the stony hostility of the family and its determination to resist interference to the last."

~Sir William Robert Ferdinand Mount, 3rd Baronet
The Subversive Family author

come away with me ~ norah jones

the song title says it all.. let its romantic lyrics and melody walk you down the aisle..

come away with me

a timeless wedding

here's one of the reasons why i've been captivated by small white weddings. its simplicity and the feeling that someone's simple wish has been granted.

in the novel 'a walk to remember', the heroine jamie's number one wish is to marry in the small church where her parents were married, full of people she holds dear.

and no one believed it's even possible. and then it actually happened.

i believe that the sincerity of one heart's wish can fulfill your dreams..

wear sandals on your wedding

more and more brides are now breaking out of the traditional too formal shoes to wear for their weddings. these brides must not be used to wearing one in the first place, so why make your feet suffer on your wedding day?

and then there's these pretty sandals.. simple.. so quaint. so comfy..

why not let one walk you down the aisle? your feet (and those of your bridesmaid's can thank you later) <3

garden chapel ~ banao creek

i found a photo of this quaint chapel.. fresh, tranquil, magical, unassuming place to hold your sincerest wedding vows..

A small, unassuming resort in Tagaytay City (near the Taal Volcano) called Banao Creek in the Philippines offers a surprisingly tranquil atmosphere that affords commune with nature. This is a shot of its chapel, which is not far from its swimming pool and cottages. Gets chilly at night in this place, but warm and cozy through most of the day.
